They wish they had what I have, but I’m kind enough with it. I let people watch during recess and put the sound back on. What am I talking about? I’m on about catch up tv of course. It’s unbelievable the way you can get home and watch all the shows you like instead of only some of them, as decided by some network exec. Now everyone is their own television executive deciding what should be aired next. This is the way television should always have worked but I suppose there wasn’t always the technology for this level of complexity and interactivity. As you can tell, I’m a television nut and everybody is jealous of my perfect little tv that I carry around in school with me. I watch catch up tv practically all of the time. I never even do my schoolwork but I swear tv is good for the mind because I still manage to get good grades when test time comes around

Gosh I’ve been waiting for this, and I think I’ve finally got the killer excuse. Now don’t get me wrong I’m not an Apple fanboy – although I am surrounded by them. I still prefer PCs in many ways and using bloody Itunes has taught me that the guys at Apple haven’t truly conquered the user experience just yet. But the Ipad is increasingly starting to look like a game changer.
History will of course be the true judge, but it does seem to change the way we use technology. At the moment the comepetition seems non-existent. However forgetting all this is my real reason to buy an Ipad 2 – the wonderful BBC Iplayer. I like many people now have to spend a lot of time travelling and I get homesick. It sounds great to work in loads of different countries but spending a week next to a Bulgarian industrial estate tends to burst that bubble. But now the BBC will soon be available globally but only via an Ipad – well I’m sold.
