I Had Fun Writing About My Travels in the State of Florida in My Travel Blog

22 Aug

I was very glad that I finally had the chance to travel to the great sunny state of Florida. This is the state that I really wanted to be able to travel to the most and knew that it would be fun to write about my travels in the state of Florida in my travel blog. I was so happy that I was finally able to do so. I mean that the city that I really liked the most out of the state of Florida was the city of Tampa Bay. I really liked that I was able to catch some dugout seats in the major league baseball game between the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and the Anaheim Angels. I know that this game was going to be good and was exactly right about that assumption. I knew that I really had to ad my travels to this great state in my travel blog.

Essential Must Do List on Your Mykonos Holiday

04 Jul

Are you thinking of spending your holiday in the summer on the island of Mykonos? If the answer is yes, then you must take note of a few things that you must do if you head over to the island of the winds. And first of all, you must book a luxury villa in mykonos and enjoy a great accommodation on this island. Try to avoid hotels if you can; this way you will also avoid the crowds and you will not have to cope with drunk people in other rooms next to yours during your holidays.

Then, you must hit the beaches! Try to remember that you did not travel one million miles just to answer mails or talk to your blackberry near a nice swimming pool while beautiful girls around you are starving! So head to the nearest beach to your accommodation, and also go and visit other beaches too, especially on the south of the island where there is less wind and there are also some beautiful beach bars there. You must do this every day, otherwise your holiday goes in vein.

Also, you must go out at nights; this is imperative. No one stays in at nights, no matter if you rent a house in mykonos or you camp at Paraga beach! To survive the experience though, you must change your internal clock; you should eat late, at about 10pm, then go out at about 1-2am. And normally you should not go back to bed before 9-10am. Breakfast comes at 2pm and lunch at 6-7pm., just after beach swimming between 3-6pm.

Do you like all this? If yes, you must do all of them and more! Ask the locals, for other activities you may be interested in, and they will share with you their knowledge on what you can do and what not, and give you tips.

I Wish I Could Be Like Him

15 Jun

Getting up at seven, going to work, having lunch, going back home, having dinner, watching TV for a while, going to bed, that’s everything I do during weekdays and I need to do something about it. That’s not life, at least not the kind of life I’d like to have. Weekends are a lot better because I see my friends and cycle as much as I can. Since my friends know I need to change my life, they told me about a travelogue written by Dave Briggs. They sent me the link and during one of my coffee breaks at work I had a look at it. He’s an adventure cyclist who travels around the world. Since he travels most of the time he doesn’t have a traditional job. In fact, he’s a freelance writer and webmaster of several sites, which I think gives him enough money to support his trips. All I can say is that I wish I could be like him.

The World We Live in

07 Jun

Today we live in a world full of high tech information. Things we never heard of or knew existed we can learn in a few taps on the keyboard of our home computers. For instance the Animal Kingdom. We can learn about one species of a certain mammal in a few minutes and become experts on the subject and use that information as if we are the ones who wrote it ourselves. Another subject to learn about, new worlds we will never be able to travel, yet in a nano second we have the country or island appear right before our eyes. We can pull up road maps directions and then wallah you are standing in a foreign country you may never see in your entire life time and yet you have seen it from the privacy of your own home. Amazing!! Today I am going to become an expert on coffee beans.

There is a Great Meet and Greet Parking Gatwick You Can Use

06 Jun

If you are going to Gatwick to pick up some friends, then you need to go and check out this meet and greet parking gatwick site before you go. This is the best place to put your car when you want to meet and great anyone. It was just completed so it is new and it is safe. It also is very affordable. I have used it myself and I like it a lot. If I did not find out about it, who knows how much I would have to pay for parking. Gatwick is an expensive city and it is often very hard to find parking. I am so glad that this meet and greet parking gatwick exists, otherwise I do not know what I would do whenever I have to drive into this wonderful city. You should go online and learn more about this parking place as soon as you can if you plan to use it.

What Safety Protection Steps Do I Need when RV Boondocking?

08 Mar

A form of RV boondocking is called dry camping. This is RV camping without a full or partial hookup (water, power, sewer) out in some remote area away from any cities. Another is camping in a parking lot of a major store, library or club, in a city. Either way, according to devout RV Boondockers, there are some protection steps you can do to help you stay safe.

• Get a medium to large dog. Be sure to train it to follow your commands.

• Or get an audiotape/CD of a barking dog. Keep the player handy so you can turn on when needed.

• And/or put a sticker on your windows or doors to indicate a guard dog or alarm system is on board (even if you really don’t have them).

• Have an alarm system (that also has a panic button) that can sound a loud alarm.

• Get a can of pepper spray and learn how to use it.

• You could get a handgun or a stun gun. Be sure you get licensed, get trained how to used it and understand all the laws that vary from state to state.

• Make sure none of your stickers have your name or address or say you’re a full-timer.

• When boondocking in a city, stay near other boondockers, truckers or travelers that are huddled in the corner of the same parking lot you are.

• With these safety protection steps, you will be prepared for safe boondocking.

The Spanish Flu Isn’t Covered by Accident Policies

03 Mar

My wife and I have been doing some traveling, and we found some great ways to get some health insurance international. You’d never realize just how much information there is on any particular subject unless you check it out yourself. Of course, when you are allowed to live anywhere in the world, this opens up certain kinds of opportunities that you wouldn’t normally find anywhere else. For example, once I had this friend of mine tell me about his trip he was going on to Africa, and his company was paying for everything. It was some kind of international prospecting trip where he was looking for new recruits for his company. He operates some kind of international trading operation. But he was amazed when he found out just how much information there was on the local scene when it came to buying and operating insurance policies that could be used for a wide variety of issues. I once had an insurance policy that only covered accidents, so I couldn’t use it when I caught the flu while traveling through Spain. I had to get my needs met using other methods.

Bali Holiday Packages for the Artistic Spirit

31 Jan

I think it is fair to say that I have an artistic spirit. If I stay in one place for too long, I start to feel like a flower that has been plucked from the stem – like I am not going to last for much longer. That’s why I am always looking around for Bali holiday packages that I can afford. By getting up and leaving the country for a few weeks, I can reboot my creativity and send myself moving in a productive direction.

Stagnation is the death of art, for sure. When your surroundings do not change; when you are not exposed to new things on a frequent basisyou begin to lose your inspiration at terrifying speed. Even the shortest little trip can serve to reboot your inspiration in a fundamental kind of way. You’ll feel years younger when you get home, and your projects will seem all the more fresh.

Saved from Missing Our Long Awaited Vacation

10 Sep

Two years back, I had planned a vacation to Malaysia. I was vacationing after five years and I was really, really excited. Two of my best friends were tagging along too. We had shopped for our clothes a month before the visit. The height of excitement was running high in the air for all three of us but there was another trait running high for me and my friend Kyle; carelessness. Exactly 28 days before our trip, Kyle and I found out that our passports are going to expire in about three days. We were appalled at our lack of responsibility. Next thing I know both of us rushed to the post office taking with us our renewal form, new passport pictures and the expired passports . The clerk there told us that we might be calling for a long shot, putting in a request for passport renewal so close to our travel date and that we might not get the passports on time. She said that the process could speed up by paying an additional fee. We didn’t wait to think twice about the additional amount. We paid the expedite fee and passports issued to us reached us five days later via mail. We, were saved!
