Having the ability to receive important phone calls while driving between destinations is a requirement of the account we have to service each day. We will drive predetermined routes that the company has designed in an effort to optimize our time and resources. Last month they supplied us with updated mobile phones after they acquired a few large boxes of them somewhere. They had the techs replace all the iPhone parts in the newest models so that we could take advantage of their wireless capabilities. We spend a lot of time on the road driving between the various offices so this additional means of communication is great for us.
Apparently the old phones we were using were cutting out too often when we were trying to be contacted by the dispatch department. This is what prompted the company to look into replacing them. The rumor is that they actually saved even more capital than expected by having the techs replace the parts in these iPhones. If they would have got them new it would have been more then the small budget would allow. The company is not too old yet so they tend to do things like this right now. Over time things should grow decently though.
